For brain function and focus
Blueberries – Studies have shown blueberries can boost concentration and memory and the antioxidants stimulate blood flow to your brain. So why not have a punnet ready for when you find yourself reaching for your mobile phone instead of working on that spreadsheet?
Dark Chocolate – Yes, you read correctly. Now you have an excuse to eat chocolate! Dark chocolate contains small amounts of caffeine which can enhance alertness and focus. Dark chocolate also contains magnesium, which can help relieve headaches and stress. However, it is possible to have too much of a good thing – a couple of squares of dark chocolate a day is all we’re recommending.

Hard-Boiled Eggs – if you have time in the morning or the night before, bringing boiled eggs in a Tupperware to work is an easy way to get your protein fix. Eggs are high in B vitamins and trace minerals, and they are easy to bring into work. A typical boiled egg contains 6 grams of protein, so it will keep you full and satisfied during the day.
Cottage Cheese – Whether you like to slather it on a rice cake or eat it on its own, cottage cheese is a versatile snack that is high in protein and easy to bring into work. It’s also a great source of calcium and vitamin B12.
Pumpkin Seeds – It might not be safe to bring nuts into the workplace, so pumpkin seeds are a great alternative. Not only are they incredibly easy to snack on, but they are also very nutritionally beneficial. The seeds are high in protein and contain fibre, magnesium and zinc.

Smoothies – A sweet tasting smoothie can satisfy your sweet tooth. You don’t have to cram it full of sugary fruit either; a simple apple or banana added to a smoothie with greens is enough to curb your cravings for sugar.
